Makes me a little sad that there are no comments on this – I’m in the process of writing a series of articles on the archaeology of the Pokémon world!
I think Regirock would be pretty helpful on the basis that it was created in the Stone Age – first hand accounts on artefacts! What more do you want? Pokémon like Magnemite would be pretty helpful for chemical makeup of objects, particularly around the Iron Age. I imagine you could make pretty good use of Alakazam for reading some of those inscriptions, too!
