This month I am diving in to my love of Halloween and having a lot of fun extending beyond the usual ‘Halloween Week’. It’s great.
However, since 1987, October has also been Black History Month in the UK and as much as I enjoy Halloween, I also want to acknowledge this annual opportunity to reflect and learn about a neglected element of the human story.
This year, I am simply going to provide a little list of readings, watchings and listenings that are helping me to fill crucial gaps in my knowledge and (hopefully) become a more rounded historian and human being!
As discussed in a previous blog post, I am dyslexic, so I find audio books more efficient than the written word.

This is far from an exhaustive list of Black History Month resources and I would invite you to comment below with your additions. However, these are some of the resources I have been reflecting on and having fun with in 2020.
Enjoy, learn and improve!
